Boo-Hoo
I just read something that really bothered me-that anti-gay activists are scared to take the stand because of reprisals. Seriously? The same people who are anti-gay and pro-life are scared of reprisals? Usually it's that side that commits the acts of reprisals-I haven't seen any pro-choice, pro-gay rights people out there killing doctors who won't do abortions or killing hte people who picket funerals with their "God Hates Fags" signs. I am both amused by their attempt to turn themselves into victims of the gay rights movement and repulsed by their attempts to do so. They are NOT the victims in this case. I never thought I would find myself on the same side as Antonin Scalia on anything, but to his credit, he told them that "You can't run a democracy this way, with everybody afraid of having his political positions known". It's quite clever of them to cast themselves this way-but it's not really the case. Which side has been more prone to violence? Which side has been more vocal about their hate? Which side has spent more and more money to achieve their goals?
