Terminator Salvation

I admit it, The Terminator is one of my favorite movies of all time (the other one is Guys and Dolls. Or maybe The Right Stuff). Anyway, I love The Terminator and Even T2 but the third one was enough to put me off the whole thing-so when I heard Hollywood was making Terminator Salvation, I was full of trepidation. Who would play John Connor, savior of mankind?
Of course, it's Christian Bale, the best actor of his generation (who also has Public Enemies with Johnny Depp coming out this summer).
Okay, here's the short review:I loved it. It was great-very cool, scary and creepy with really good performances. I did wonder why Marcus Wright played such a big role (and I can't blame Bale for saying he didn't want to do it unless the role was beefed up)-and by the way, Sam Wainwright, your Aussie accent showed more than once. But still, it was good. The only thing I really wondered about were:
A) Why everyone had SPECTACULAR teeth. Really. Once you've had braces, you always notices other people's teeth and these people all looked like the marvels of modern dentistry were fully available in a world where evil killer machines were running the place.

B) They can do an heart transplant in a world where evil killer machines are running the place? Really? Because it didn't look like there was any disinfectant around, let alone soap and lots of clean water (or anyone who knew how to do it, for that matter). But it takes place 10 years from now so maybe it's easier than I think.

It has some nice nods to the first two movies while ignoring the third (a wise decision) and is a good chapter in the ongoing saga. I hear this is the first of a trilogy and if so, I can't wait for the next one. I didn't even mind Anton Yelchin as young Kyle Reese-he was actually pretty good.
